Sharon's Closet


- "Suit"able business attire, at no cost, to women in need who are:
- Going to work for the first time.
- Going back to work
- Looking for a better job.

"I worked hard to get my job, now I can look as confident as I feel."
1. "How Nice" Referral cards are distributed to a wide variety of cummunity agencies and faith based organizations who will issue them to women in need.
2. Clothing is distributed by "How Nice" Referral Cards and Return Invitation Cards only.
3. Cards are given to women who are entering, reentering the work force or moving to a job requiring more professional attire.
4. Women with the "How Nice" Referral cards in hand call the Fremont County Family Center at 269-1523 to schedule an appointment with Sharon's Closet hostess.
5. Women seeking employment may select one outfit for interviews.
6. Upon employment or community work placement, women may select two to four additional outfits with their "return Invitation" card as inventory allows.

Donations made to Sharon's closet are considered tax deductible. The program is covered by the non-profit status of the 501-C3 of Developmental Opportunities.

- Of good quality in good repair.
- Appropriate for more formal business or casual employment
- Dry cleaned or washed and ironed and on hangers.
- Labeled by size.
- Shoes and handbags should be cleaned and shined.
- Displayed in coordinated outfits, if possible.
- Clothing will be less than 5 years old.
- The only undergarments accepted will be brassieres and slips in excellent condition (without rips, or stains and have elastic intact.)

Periodically, other services become available to recipients of Sharon's Closet through community and manufacturer donations. These services are offered and distributed as inventory allows. other services that may be available could include hair cuts, alterations, cosmetics and/or cosmetic consultations. Mentoring is also available for selection of appropriate work attire, resume writing, interview skills, etc.
